Bohren & Der Club Of Gore: Sunset Mission 2xLP

bohren

Finally, Sunset Mission on vinyl. Bohren & Der Club of Gore has been one of my favourite “jazz” bands since I heard that magical “Black Earth” album for the very first time. As we all know, those original pressings are way too expensive (thanks to  Discogs & Ebay) but now we have this great opportunity to fill those gaps on our collections just because those long gone albums are being repressed (gonna grab that “Black Earth” repress later today). This one has never been pressed on vinyl before (except some TP version, according to Discogs) and with limitation of 4000 pieces you just can’t miss this one. Awesome, moody, breathtaking music. Recommended highly! Grab a copy for example from hhv.de, Anost, Denovali or any other up-to-date record store!

Mouse On The Keys: The Flowers Of Romance LP (clear)

mouse on the keys II

Here again and this time with this pretty cool (far more than just cool) album from Japanese Mouse On The Keys. They play jazz influenced prog-rock or something (did I even tagged this right..) and this is third release from them I own so you guessed right, I like this band. I knew that they were releasing a new album but somehow I managed to miss it, totally. Hopefully I found a copy from Bleep (just checked if they still have copies, but sorry, sold out from them also). Don’t know about the limitation but if you are interested, there are copies floating around Amazon. Perfect band from this awesome orchestra.

The Matthew Halsall & Gondwana Orchestra: When The World Was One 2xLP

matthew halsall

Hey! It’s time for Jazzzz.. I couldn’t resist purchasing this one after hearing that title track. Actually I do not care that much about this genre (too difficult for my tiny brains) but there was/still is something with this record I can’t explain.. atmosphere on this album, calm and hazy or something. Anyways, damn good sounding album and available from artist’s BandCamp page. Go and let little jazz sneak into your world.

Eleni Karaindrou: Music For Films LP

eleni

Hmm.. and why do I have this record? If I remember right, it was 17 years ago (when I was little younger..) that I found myself buying present for my mom (Ulysses’ Gaze by Eleni Karaindrou in CD format). Shopkeeper was so convincing that he nearly forced me to buy few more albums by Eleni on vinyl :) And yes, I still got both. Love at first sight!
