Fulanno: Nadie Está A Salvo Del Mal LP + Test Pressing

fulanno

Fulanno with their latest one, never letting you down. I just love their music (even though I have no idea what they are singing about). These South American bands have stole some special place in my heart nowadays. As we already know, Fulanno comes from Argentina and they have a unique approach to their doomed sludge/stoner filled way to produce these tunes. Ordered a test pressing from Interstellar Smoke Records but received a normal version instead, luckily the error was corrected by the record company immediately and I received the version I ordered with a delay of a few days. After all, I ended up redeeming the incorrectly delivered normal version as well because returning it would have been disproportionately expensive. I’m happy with both versions I have! For those who are after the vinyl version of this recording .. Discogs / Ebay are platforms because Interstellar Smoke Records has sold this out.

Kult Of The Wizard: Gold 2xLP (gold/black marbled)

kult

Five years ago I bought a twelve-inch vinyl from a band called Kult Of The Wizard. The name of that release was “The White Wizard” and I listened to that record quite a lot and I was amazed by those bluesy psych / stoner / doom soundwaves and haunting beautiful vocals. This latest album came as a complete surprise to me, I didn’t see this coming. Bought a copy straight away from Interstellar Smoke Records and now that the record has spun under the needle countless times today .. I just can’t get enough of this. With this album, Kult Of The Wizrad moves into its own category. Buy this double album while you still can !! Available from Interstellar Smoke Records.

Betelzeus: Congolese Sterilization LP (magenta/clear)

betezeus

Ha! In your face! From my recent hometown comes Betelzeus with Congolese Sterilization. It’s damn nice to see/hear that there’s actual stoner/doom/sludge scene in this godforsaken backyard called Finland (and someone dares to call us Finns the happiest people in the world, fuck it!). Thanks to Interstellar Smoke Records for releasing this on vinyl, tape version I purchased from the local record store earlier last year. Pissed off sludge/doom in best physical format ever. Highly recommended piece of art!  Available from the source,  Interstellar Smoke Records.

Hombrehumano: Crepuscular LP (colored)

hombre

Deserted love from Argentina. Ordered this one along with some other records from Interstellar Smoke Records a few months ago. As I have said before, seems that the stoner/doom genre is quite powerful in South America nowadays. Hombrehumano is hitting hard with their album called Crepuscular, fuzzed desert/stoner/psych rock at it’s best. I was already sold after listening to the first track on this album, Nomada, even though it’s instrumental it’s one of the most beautiful tracks I have heard in a while! Recommended piece of art and still available from the source, Interstellar Smoke Records.

Malsten: The Haunting of Silvåkra Mill LP (orange/black marbled)

malmsten000

Here’s some quality doom, this time from Sweden. Another new acquaintance for me because I haven’t come across this band before, so thanks to Interstellar Smoke Records for introducing this slow & heavy monstrocity. The Haunting of Silvåkra Mill is Malsten’s debut album and it sets high hopes for the band’s future releases. This darkened beauty is available via Interstellar Smoke Records.

Temple Of The Fuzz Witch: Red Tide LP (transparent red with black splatter)

temple of fuzz witch

Interstellar Smoke Records has managed to release a bunch of awesome records during the year. One of them is this “Red Tide,” from Temple Of The Fuzz Witch. Operating somewhere beyond stoner/occult/doom & psych, this album manages to provide very heavy atmosphere and that is just what we are after. This beast is still available from the source, Interstellar Smoke Records and directly from the band. Highly recommended!

LáGoon: Father Of Death 12″ (white)

LaGoon

Some time a go I purchased LáGoon’s album “Maa Kali Trip” and promised to myself that I’m gonna hunt down all recordings this band has released. Well, I didn’t have to wait too long because Interstellar Smoke Recordings released this one. Really difficult to describe which genre this band could fit into, some kinda mix of surf-garage-skate-stoner-doom or something. But who cares, record sounds amazing and I’ll continue hunting down those previous ones. Available via BandCamp (Interstellar has sold out copies they had).

Fumarole: Valley of Ten Thousand Smokes LP (black marbled transparent green)

fumarole

Some grooving Stoner/doom from Australia in vinyl format. Band follows the name Fumarole and this is their debut album “Valley of Ten Thousand Smokes”. I listened to a few songs through BandCamp and my interest woke up right away. The  purchase decision was obvious. Lately this album has been spinning under the needle almost daily and have to say it’s worth every damn penny I invested. Have to send some love to Interstellar for releasing these kinda records, from bands that deserve to be heard! Still available from the source, Interstellar Smoke Records and I suggest you to purchase a copy while you still can..

Jointhugger: I Am No One LP (clear with black blob)

jointhugger

This one was worth to wait. Jointhugger, from Norway, and their debut album “I Am No One”. This album is raw, crushing and feels like it’s dragging you down below, somewhere where laws of nature forgotten. Dirty stoner / sludge /doom mixed with some psychedelic and with this recipe Jointhugger can’t go wrong. This monster is still available via Interstellar Smoke Records, so grab a copy and let that light fade out from your eyes.

Fulanno: Velas Negras LP (black candle)

00_fulanno

More stoner/doom from South America, this time we have Fulanno from Argentina with their awesome debut on vinyl format, Velas Negras. Yes, this record is stuffed with slow, acid filled doom/stoner and I really like this kind of soundscapes. No idea about lyrics on this album but I think they are not singing anything about birds & flowers. Sold out from the source, Interstellar Smoke Records so the only places where to hunt this slow, evil release are Ebay & Discogs.. and prizes on those platforms are what they are..

Vestjysk Ørken: Full Dark No Stars LP (black)

vestjysk000

In my teens, it was quite common to buy a record from the record store just on the basis of cover art. Have to admit that it wasn’t the best way to choose your purchase. Today, those basics have changed a bit but if the band releases an album titled “Full Dark, No Stars” ..I’m sold. Only this time the title sums up the whole record perfectly. Vestjysk Ørken manages to create a very gloomy worldview with their psychedelic Instrumental space rock. Brilliant album and still available via Interstellar Smoke Records!

Arteaga: Vol II Dios Sol LP (pink) + 7″

arteaga1000

Some psychedelic stoner/doom from South America, Chile. Alltough I have no idea what is being sung on this record, I don’t actually care. This is a groovy, catchy fuzzed stoner vibes filled record and that’s enough for me. It’s nice to see bands like Arteaga taking their places within this scene. I’m more than happy finding these new (for me new..) stoner outfits stepping out of the shadows. Available from Interstellar Smoke Records. Expand your mind listening to Vol II Dios Sol!

LáGoon: Maa Kali Trip 12″ (orange/black)

00_goon

Uuhh.. This band and their latest release “Maa Kali Trip” is some kind of twisted spawn of garage/surf/stoner band from hell playing disturbed hits from the underground.. or something like that. And it sounds brilliant! I know I will get rid of unwanted guests at the next barbecue party when I put this record on my turntable with max volume! Let’s take a trip with LáGoon! Available from the source, Interstellar Smoke Records. Recommended!

Serpent Cobra: Anatomy Of Abuses LP (red)

00serpent

Woahh.. Yet another South American band, this time we are talking about Argentine duo Serpent Cobra and their debut album “Anatomy Of Abuses”. I came across this album via Interstellar Smoke Recordings while I was checking out their webshop. Little do I know about this band, I just let the music speak for itself. Nice one, different, and surely deserves a place in my collection   Available via Interstellar Smoke Records.
