Woahh.. Yet another South American band, this time we are talking about Argentine duo Serpent Cobra and their debut album “Anatomy Of Abuses”. I came across this album via Interstellar Smoke Recordings while I was checking out their webshop. Little do I know about this band, I just let the music speak for itself. Nice one, different, and surely deserves a place in my collection Available via Interstellar Smoke Records.
Look what I got here, latest from Dopelord! Few years back I purchased their previous one “Children Of The Haze”, beautifull album by this doomed stoner-outfit from Poland. Now I got their latest one here with me, and I couldn’t be happier. Freaking awesome album and still available from Green Plague Records. This clear variation (limited to 150 copies) is sold out by now but you can still get your hands on that regular black wax. One of my favorite […]
Well, it took a little longer to purchase this one than I thought. That mistake has been taken care of now. I bought this blue version (even though in the picture it looks like regular black version) from Lay Bare Recordings. Döömed psychedelic/space/stoner is the thing here with this release. I have never had that much of fate for Finnish stoner/doom (or metal) genres overall but obviously, something is happening… At least between my ears. Great record this surely is. […]
Went through my latest purchases and spotted this one I got before Christmas.. Been a little long since my last blog update (been sick for a couple of weeks and trying to do my work from home due to this global issue with Corona). Once again a band I haven’t listened earlier but now that mistake has been solved. I bought this record from Kozmik Artifactz after listening a few songs via BandCamp. Nice fuzzed/psychedelic/space/stoner album and now I’m forced […]
Here’s some 70’s influenced hard rockin’ stoner in your face! The band is from where else than Sweden, I wasn’t even surprised about that fact. This is Hazemaze’s second full-length and after listening to this several times in the row I’m forced to go after their debut one. This is released by mighty Cursed Tongue Records on mint green (sold out) and on orange vinyl. Orange version is still available from the source, CTR and via BandCamp. If you prefer […]
This Australian psychedelic/stoner group blew my mind a few months ago. One of those bands I have never heard of before and I came across this album while surfing around BandCamp. One of my favorite albums from 2019 (note that this is EU version), even though this was originally released in 2018. The band has released a new album last year and yes, I purchased that too (more about that one later). This one is still available via Copper Feast […]
uuuhh.. Yet another great release from DHU, this time full-length from Black Road. This Chicago based band has managed to sneak into my heart & record collection quite easily. Few years back Dark Hedonistic Union released Black Road’s twelve-inch EP and I’ve been waiting since that release new material from the band (managed somehow to skip their 7″ inch, shame on me). Bluesy, heavy, fuzzed stoner with Suzi’s hypnotizing voice. Timeless beauty this surely is. Vinyl versions of this album […]
The year has changed and I’m still going through my last year’s purchases. This monstrous album from Saint Karloff (released by Majestic Mountain Records) was one of those I waited anxiously to arrive. Awesome record even though color variation wasn’t what I expected. Unique marbled vinyl (limited to 100 copies) was turned to transparent blue in some part of the production but so what? It’s still unique to me. Just checked out around the internet and it seems that all […]
Managed to miss this one in 2015.. and I blame our beloved dog for that because I had to take it out for a piss and while I was standing there in the rain.. this die-hard edition was sold out. So I waited 4 years patiently until I found a copy with decent prize tag from Discogs. Psychedelic, stoner filled acid rock could be how to describe this album. This clear copy is limited to 100 copies and was available […]
Got this latest full-lenght by Zed from Ripple Music some time ago. Once again a band I have never heard of before… Better later than ever. This kind of southern/stoner rock pleases me a lot and obviously, this has been in heavy rotation lately. This album (colored version, limited to 100 copies) is still available from the source, Ripple Music, and if you live on the old continent I suggest you to visit Ripple’s EU store (regular black wax available). […]
Love at first sight.. but I have to admit that it took way too long to purchase this bluesy/stoner release from Shotgun Sawyer. Never been even near States but somehow this record manages to take me there.. weird, but must have something to do that bluesy sound. Really happy that I finally decided to grab this record. This is still available from the source, Ripple Music (US) and regular black version available from their EU shop (if you want to […]
Finally, pristine copy. I really like this record (well, that’s obvious because I bought it..twice). Doom/stoner hitting heavy & hard. I came across this record while checking out some stoner charts and it was love at first sight and now it has been on my playlist daily. Really don’t know the pressing amount of this purple version but who cares because there’s also regular black copies available. As said before, I bought this record twice. First version via the band […]
This arrived a few weeks ago, Green Lung and their debut “Woodland Rites” on green/black marbled vinyl (well, in the picture it looks very black..). My story with this band started last year when I missed totally their cassette EP and I promised to myself that I will hunt down a copy somehow. Never got that cassette but now I got a full-length. A great record filled with occult/stoner/doom & hard rocking tunes. Funny thing with these releases by Kozmik […]
Here it is. On a scale of one to ten, this album goes straight to eleven. Latest (and second full-length) from Grajo, called Slowgod II. Last year I was completely sold when I heard the band’s debut album. With this album, band has taken a step beyond and I’m following what ever the direction is. Great record mixing elements from doom to space rock and that vocalist.. aah what a voice she has. DHU exclusive version (limited to 90 copies) […]
Haa.. check out what I found from the local record store few weeks back! Quite nice copy in nearly mint condition from Dozer and didn’t even cost that much. Actually this band is new to me and I don’t remember ever hearing any of their records before this one. Have to say that I’m very exited about this record because I haven’t purchased second-hand items for a long time and usually records like this are quite hard to find here […]
I have been waiting this one like waiting for the moon to rise. Preordered this months ago and finally it arrived today. I’ve been listening this album a lot within last few months (MP3 files I got when I ordered physical copy) and have to say I’m very pleased. Instrumental psych-kraut-prog-space-stoner.. quite hard to label this band so maybe you should check this out by yourself. I love this, you don’t have to. Limited o 300 copies on black wax and […]
I came across with this band via STB Records facebook page. Steve recommended this record (and the band) few months ago, I listened few tunes and surprise, I had to purchase a copy. Killer record this totally is, doomed stoner/sludge masterpiece. I got myself this black variation (limited to 200 copies) just because that white-colored (limited to 100 copies) sold out ages ago. If you are interested to blow your head off with this record you can grab a copy […]
Yes, yes, yes.. another test pressing from Riding Easy Records.. Few days ago I find myself thinking why in hell anyone want to buy test pressing and surprisingly this one arrived.. Slow Season and their debut album, very strong performance when talking about blues/stoner rock. I had this one on my wantlist for a while and then, suddenly this TP came available to purchase.. and here it is. I like this one, I like every damn record Riding Easy is […]
Finally my virginity with STB records is lost. This beauty came today (with glow in the dark box & cloak). This album from Ancient Warlocks was release first by Lay Bare Recordings (Netherlands) in 2012, and now it has been repressed by STB records. Nice-awesome-nice stoner rock record and I’m very pleased that I had an opportunity to purchase this Die Hard edition of this album. This beauty is limited to 5 test press (sold out), 75 die hard copies […]
It’s sludge time! After listening whole lot of piano music lately this brings little change to my over relaxed state of mind. It has been a while since I have listened good old sludge/stoner and this record woke me up from my slumber. And as I have said many times before, I can smoothly jump from modern classical to raw metal and other way around, no big deal to me. I like this one, that’s why I purchased it. This […]
Hmm, I thought that I’m done with records for this year but I was wrong. This stoner-space rock beauty was waiting for me in Post office when I went down there to send some packages. Well this year is ending quite nicely (even though I’m not done with that frustration-pissed off feeling that Mondo brought to me with that Halloween soundtrack..x2). But with this one I’m happy, very happy. This is limited to 300 copies and some copies are available […]
This doomed stoner album arrived also today. I really like the roughness on this album (well, that was the reason I purchased this one). But in the same time this can be beautiful (I don’t know is that word best to describe this album) and very pleasing. According their BandCamp page this color version is limited to 100 copies and it’s still available from same place, BandCamp. I can recommend this one, honestly.
Uuh.. How I like this band, reminds me of early records of Jesus Lizard (a little, maybe I could call this band updated version of Lizards). Anyways, really good noise rock twelve-inch. Their second release and now I just sit tight and wait when they are going to release full length. Limited to 100 copies on grey marbled (sold out), 200 on purple and 500 copies on black vinyl. If you fancy a copy, head to Brutal Panda’s BandCamp page […]
And this one came also today with other mail. Shoegazing and.. stoner rock? I do not know. Actually this is totally new band to me and surprise, I really like the mood on this album. Not bad purchase at all if you ask me. This is limited to 300 copies on this color. There are also those clear ones (100 copies) as usual when we are talking about Relapse, 1000 copies on green/grey and 1600 copies on regular black vinyl. Available from […]
This came today, debut album first time on vinyl. Their second album “Seven Thunders Roar” was amazing and I love this one too (CD has been spinning numerous hours..). Nice to see that this came on vinyl at last. Limited to 500 copies (300 on black and 200 on orange vinyl). Nasoni-Records still have black copies left on their store. Band’s Bandcamp page is offering both versions, if you are interested. Edit: By the way, when I first got my […]
I ordered this from Season of Mist last week and album arrived yesterday. Kvelertak’s debut album was amazing (still is) and this is once again amazing release. Nice to see that this band is evolving, moving forwards. About limitation, I think no one knows and cares about that. According to Season of Mist (sold out from their store) this colorway is limited to 500 copies but who knows. Recommended, obviously.
This arrived earlier this week. Ordered this from Svart records after listening few tunes from Youtube. Nice doom/psychedelic album indeed. Limited to 100 copies on clear and 400 copies on gold vinyl. There are gold ones available from Svart Records.
This came today. I know that everybody has this already but I did not, until now. Great ten-inch vinyl and for me (have to admit) new band. Amazing artwork by Baizley.. This is 5th edition of this record and this colorway is limited to 200 copies. Robotic Empire has also few other colorways available.
And here this is, do not know is this from second or third pressing but I do not really care. As far as I know, this color edition is 750 copies. Original pressings from this band are in ridiculous prizes so I’m satisfied with this. Good album and the cover art from Baizley is amazing as always. This one you could find easily from good record stores.
Bought this one years ago, there are so many re-presses of this record so I do not really care which one this might be. Like this record when it was released but haven’t been listening this for a while. Maybe I should give this few spins for time to time :) And I think that this album is available nearly every good record store in some form.
I got this album today. I was searching Bandcamp and I found this one. Listened for a while and made a decision to purchase. I like these ethereal sounds and landscapes they are painting with their instruments. This is limited to 200 copies and is still available from Bandcamp. Try this.
This came today. Missed this totally when this was released but managed to order a copy few weeks ago when this was available again on their Bandcamp page: “Limited quantities of Yellow & Green Deluxe 2xLP Hardbound Book Vinyl edition are now available. These deluxe copies were meant to go out with the band on tour, but due to the unforeseen events of the accident, they are now available online.” Yellow/green split is sold out (again) but there are three […]
And this came also today. Goblin’s first album first time on vinyl, happy, happy.. This clear one is limited to 100 copies and surprisingly, it’s sold out. There are still 300 copies on clear with orange speckles, 300 on black, 500 on transparent orange and 500 on transparent green vinyl. Purchase yours from Rise Above.
Hahaa.. These came just few minutes ago! Managed to grab this even there was major problems with Rise Above webstore. First time on vinyl and this clear version is limited to 100 copies (sold out). Nice to have this on vinyl at last. There are 300 orange copies with 10″, 300 x copies on black, 300 x copies on transparent blue and 300 x copies on transparent purple available. So go straight to Rise Above store and purchase!
This was released just because “Center Of The Sun” did not fit Samsara Blues Experiment’s debut album (vinyl version). Awesome tune. Limited to 1000 copies and 200 of those pressed on transparent orange vinyl. And for those who might want this, use google and you can find that this might be available, but not for long that’s sure.
I don’t know limitation of this 7″ inch and I truly do not care. Great little record and there’s a vibe in the air that this band is going to be something big, that’s my opinion thought. Sadly this is sold out from the source but you can find this from Discogs for example.
