Fear Of God: Toxic Voodoo LP (red)

Fear of God, the band’s name didn’t say anything to me a few months back. Came across this album via the Hand Of Doom label and my interest in the band woke up right away. Through Youtube, I saw the video below and I was really surprised I hadn’t come across this band before,. Perhaps the reason was that I lived in a world filled with British pop at the time of the album’s original release. Heck, in those years I missed too many great bands and recordings. Now it’s finally time to fix the mistakes and get back to basics. Great metal release and thanks to the vinyl version rightly belongs to Hand of Doom. Love Grosby’s vocals and it’s a shame she passed away too early.. Black wax version still available from the source, Hand Of Doom. Recommended!

Switchblade Jesus: Death Hymns LP (purple)

Got this latest from Switchblade Jesus via Cursed Tongue Records along with that Sumoken album I posted earlier. A band I’ve known for years but never managed to get familiar with. Once again an error that has now been corrected. Stoner / doom (and I’m honestly hearing strong Speed/Thrash Metal influences here) is the name of the game, obviously, and hell yeah I love these furious tunes that are penetrating the fragile cranium. Here I am wondering how on earth I managed to dodge the repertoire of this band until now? Damn. Recommended one and still available from the source, CTR! Get a copy, you obviously need one like I do.

Sepultura: Beneath The Remains LP

Found this classic album from Sepultura last weekend while visiting my hometown. It took nearly 25 years to get this back.. For me this is the best Sepultura album from start to very end. Quite nice copy even though there are some wearing on the cover but the record itself is in nearly perfect condition. Even though I’m hunting down these oldies & goldies from my past I haven’t seen that much copies of this record and f I had, those have been in terrible condition. Yeah, I’m happy with this one. The circle has closed at last and I have all three Sepultura albums I need -> Schizophrenia, Beneath The Remains & Arise.

Hashteroid: Hashteroid LP (green)

Got this thing with Cursed Tongue Records, I nearly always manage to miss what they are releasing (happened with Wolftooth & Mephistofeles..). But now I managed to grab this speed filled stoner/space/thrash beauty from Hashteroid. Version pictured above is limited to 100 copies and still wondering how in hell this is still available? Awesome package in every possible way.  Available from the source, Cursed Tongue Records. And as mentioned above this green version is limited to 100 copies but there’s also so-called “regular” version on yellow wax (limited to 400 copies) available. Highly recommended band, album & label!

Sepultura: Arise – Rough Mixes Limited Edition For Rock In Rio LP

For years I have tried to find this album with decent prize tag on it and suddenly I came across with this version. Have to say that 25€ is quite decent prize considering that the vinyl itself is in pristine condition. I don’t mind the fact that these are rough mixes, after all this sounds much better than that recorded cassette I have been playing for years. Still missing a vinyl copy of “Beneath the Remains” but I’m working on it.

Oh… some treasures from the past..

Bought these few months ago via some Facebook group and I’m quite happy because all these have been kept well and I got these quite cheap. If I remember right I never did own any VoiVod records on vinyl back then (only few cassette copies). My journey with Napalm Death started (and pretty much ended) with “From Enslavement” but holy hell, Conspiracy by King Diamond was one my favourite ones those days… (and still it brings shivers down my back). NIce records and yet one step closer (actually four) fulfilling my dream.

Sepultura: Schizophrenia LP

Back to basics. I had this record years & years ago and like all other LP’s I got back then, I sold this one too. Silently I have been hunting down all those precious thrash/speed/death metal albums and fortunately I got this brazilian version about a month ago. Like all treasures I have found lately, this also came from that very source where I have picked about 30-40 records within 3-4 months. Very good album even though “Beneath The Remains” was that Sepultura’s album which blew head from my shoulders. Anyways, great copy in nearly perfect condition & thing that makes me smile is the fact that this vinyl must weigh under 100 g, I can nearly see trough it.

Pantera: Cowboys From Hell LP

Those were the days my friend.. Actually this is the only Pantera’s record I have ever own, and that’s fine to me (been thinking of purchasing “Vulgar Display Of Power” for ages though.. 25 years ain’t that long  or is it?). I still remember how hard this album hit me when I was still on the brink of my teenager years. Times when music really ment something and your purchase decision based on the few following things: the cover of the album, videos on MTV’s Headbanger’s Ball & reviews on Metal Hammer. Somehow I still miss those years of innocence (hah, beer & cigarettes etc.). Great album and with this one I do not care anyone else’s opinions :)

Ludicra: The Tenant 2xLP (transparent navy blue)

Suddenly came across with this one last week. I remember hearing this album first time few years ago and was planning to purchase this.. Hmm.. now I did. I do not know what it is with this album but I do enjoy listening this, a lot. Well spent 15 euros, I think. This color was limited to 100 copies and there is also black copies floating around and some kind of special edition, I settle with this one.

Toxic Holocaust: An Overdose Of Death… LP (transparent orange)

Uuuuuuhhh.. damn I like this record. It’s like taking a trip back in time, back to those hazy teenager years. Days filled with trash and speed metal.. Nuclear Assault, Death Angel etc. Those really were the days! Can’t praise this one enough. Bought this about 4 years ago and still in love. Limited to 100 on clear, 300 on purple, 500 on orange, 800 on green and 800 copies on yellow vinyl (seems that there is black copies also floating around). This work of art should be available in every GOOD record store :) And yes, I know that every one has their own opinion about this record, love it or hate it, I don’t personally care.
