I have been waiting this one like waiting for the moon to rise. Preordered this months ago and finally it arrived today. I’ve been listening this album a lot within last few months (MP3 files I got when I ordered physical copy) and have to say I’m very pleased. Instrumental psych-kraut-prog-space-stoner.. quite hard to label this band so maybe you should check this out by yourself. I love this, you don’t have to. Limited o 300 copies on black wax and […]
Funny that I have forgotten this band totally. I loved their debut album (bought it when it was released in 1994) but somehow I have managed to skip most of their records during these years.. Anyways, this 5th album of Circle (Finnish psychedelic/kraut rock band) has been pressed on vinyl first time (150 copies on clear and 350 copies on black vinyl) and available from Ektro Records (but remember, shipping cost from Finland are enormous). But you can also purchase regular […]
Hmm.. Strange album from Master Musicians of Bukkake (well, what else can you expect from this group). And hey, if you purchased their previous album, Far West, you can place this vinyl to that extra pocket of its gatefold cover. You can also listen these two albums simultaneously to experience something more experimental.. but this LP works fine for me on its own (only have one whole turntable). Once again very strong performance from this group and this only forces […]
Ha! This one came from Totem Cat Records today. Lucid Sins and their damn good retro-sounding psychedelic/stoner album “Occultation”. Never heard of this band before but spotted announcement of this album from TCR’s facebook page, listened few tunes and result can be seen on picture above. Obviously this album sounds so timeless that I would have thought this is a band (and their record) from 70’s or something.. little do I know. This album goes easily to my top 10 […]
And then we come to this excellent instru/experimental droned psychedelic album. Latest from Dead Sea Apes, released by Cardinal Fuzz. Been listening this piece a lot and won’t get enough. It’s that good. Can’t praise enough that work done by Cardinal Fuzz and all those bands on this label. This album, and all their previous releases should be in Your record rack. So, what are You waiting for? You can purchase this from Cardinal Fuzz or straight from the band […]
Finally (took almost a year) I can hold this piece of art on my hands. This came today and I was more than surprised that it even arrived (long story..). Have to admit that I haven’t listened this album for a long long time but while writing this post these tunes are floating inside my cranium via headphones. And still I love these tunes, instrumental-space-psych-rock and with that recipe You can’t go wrong. If I remember right, this version was […]
And then I got this beauty from STB Records (with tons of extra stuff, mp3 coupons etc.). This is limited to 50 hand-numbered copies on clear vinyl with yellow & green splatter, and was available on Halloween’s eve. Actually I already have this on die hard version but I just couldn’t resist purchasing this.. damn me and my hoarding issues. Well, I love this album and really appreciate everything STB Records is doing. Nice item and really awesome record! —
I picked this up from the Post office today. As far as I know this is the most limited version of this double vinyl (this was not available for public, limited to 100 copies). Few weeks ago as I was sitting on the train on my way to home when there came this tweet from Rise Above Records that few of these were available to purchase and I managed to pick a copy. Maybe this was little expensive but certainly worth […]
It’s here! Countless mornings this record has been on my headphones on my way to work. More I listen to it, more I love it. Psychedelic-Blues-Rock played just like I love to hear it. Actually I received this album few weeks ago but there was some scratches on the vinyl so I decided to contact Steve from STB Records and today I received this replacement vinyl (really happy about this!). It’s awesome how DIY label like STB takes care of […]
Goat has arrived (at least one version of this new album). Yes, this is regular black copy but.. with unique cover. This Stranded Rekords version, exclusively sold by Bengans Record Store is limited to 200 (hand-numbered) copies and each of these copies has unique, different cover made by followers of the band. Not bad at all. Hey Zyma Banshee, your design has entered my record collection :) Great album, but what else could You expect from this awesome collective. Now […]
I nearly forget that this one came couple of days ago from RidingEasy Records. This seven-inch teaser (full-length album is also now available) sounds groovy, very seventies influenced and massive, I like this. Now I have to wait for payday that I could purchase that album too. This clear one was limited to 50 copies and already sold out. RidingEasy has still other color variations available though. Nice little record. — — Only sad thing is that once again postal/delivery […]
Package came today from RidingEasy Records. Once again I was bit too eager to get this album that I did not read release information through.. I pre-ordered this because I thought that I missed test pressing/die hard versions. Well, actually those came on sale about week later or something :D (same thing happened with my Monolord LPs). Anyways, maybe I just have start collecting every single version of every item RidingEasy is releasing. And about the band, hard -psychedelic-stoner-whatever-rock and […]
This album, “Walker” by Nope, came few hours ago packaged nicely and secured (that’s what I like!). Record is spinning on the turntable while I’m writing this and I like these psychedelic/kraut-like-instrumental-space/shoegazing tunes floating in the air. Not bad album at all! I think that I discovered this band via Cardinal Fuzz (some tweet on Twitter..), if I’m not totally wrong/demented. But anyways, this is limited to 200 copies with “blue swirl” and 300 copies on black (?) vinyl. Just noticed that […]
This also came today, nice little one from Electric Citizen released by RidingEasy records. Got this one (on clear vinyl, limited to 50 copies) and now I’m just waiting for that debut album to be released (once again trying to get my dirty&hairy hands on test pressing..). So, the conclusion is that I really like this seven-inch and I want more, much more. As you can read above this is limited to 50 hand-numbered copies on clear vinyl and already […]
Now I have to admit that I don’t know much about prog rock.. at all. But when I heard first tunes from this album, it brought back memories from times I used to listen Änglagård’s amazing album “Hybris” a lot (nearly twenty years ago, and what an awesome album that is!) But let’s focus on this album from Agusa. I found this via BandCamp, listened the album throughout and it was easy decision to purchase this one. And it’s true […]
And just when you thought that there has been enough posts of Horseback releases lately.. You were wrong! This came today, test pressing of this awesome album. And there’s always room for more records like this one in my rack. Announcement about this being available came from Horseback via Twitter and I did not hesitate a second. Mine, all mine.. As far as I know there are 25 copies floating around and surprisingly this sold out quite fast (I think […]
There is this strange thing with this band, I’m totally fascinated about every damn record they are putting out.. This one I bought from Discogs along some other titles that came today. And what there is to say about Horseback, yeah it’s one of my favorite ones. With this record they are messing with psychedelic-drone-folk ambient like music and surprise, they are doing it with awesome touch. With every record they manage to amaze me. This is limited to 649 […]
Oh, damn! This newest from Horseback came today and I’m totally surprised and amazed with this album (in best possible way). The difference with “Invisible Mountain” (my first Horseback purchase few years back) and this album is huge! I really appreciate when band keeps evolving.. but this is amazing! Love these guitars, love this strange little record. What can I say when experimental metal/drone band does record like this one. Now I have to purchase that Jenks Miller “Spirit Signal” on […]
I got a package from Captcha Records today and inside I found two beautiful records. This is one of those two. Camel Heads and their debut album “Anoluz”. This is pure space/psychedelic/desert/instrumental rock from Brasil. What can I say, everything is on its place here, haunting and beautiful record. Have to thank Captcha for releasing (and believing) this album. I do not know about limitation but this seems to be available here and there (just wondering this hasn’t sold out […]
uuuhh.. Today came a package from the all mighty Cardinal Fuzz. So let’s start checking with this one. I really liked the debut from this band so it was obvious to grab this latest also. And with no exception, I love this album! As we all know this is psychedelic-space-garage or something like that.. damn, I’m not good at putting albums in some specific genre. For me it’s simple, if it sounds/feels good then it’s worth to purchase and I […]
What a wonderful piece of vinyl (plus 70 minutes music on CD). I had no idea about this artist and I purchased this blindfolded just based on a recommendation. Well, not bad recommendation at all. This release is part one from series of four and I’ll certainly go for rest upcoming releases. This is abstract, ethereal psychedelic music with lot of heart on it. Just listening the CD, seventy minute cosmic journey there and back. This is limited to 150 […]
Latest from Radar Men From The Moon. I just bought their previous album few months ago… and now there’s a new one, huh. Instrumental psychedelic-space-stoner rock and sounds good, much more than good. Headphones on and straight to the roof just to watch stars passing by. My kind of a record. This is limited to 200 copies on clear, 700 copies on black with white splatter and if I’m not totally wrong, there is going to be some kind of […]
This came from Cardinal Fuzz today. And I have to say that delivery times have been astonishing fast with them. Cardinal has come one of my favorite record companies, brilliant records, awesome customer service and super fast delivery times. And about this record, this ain’t that psychedelic, fuzzy stuff than Cardinal’s previous releases but that’s only good thing. Very enjoyable record, just listen to their song “Creation” .. And about limitation, total pressing is 500 copies and 200 of those […]
Niceee.. this beauty also came today, collaboration of two amazing artists, Gunn & Gangloff. This records sounds amazing, Gunn with guitars and Gangloff handling other instruments and if you like acoustic, experimental music, you should try this one. Somehow this record draws a picture of prairie into my mind (and I have never ever actually been even near of those areas). Nice. This is limited to 500 copies and 200 of those are on red vinyl, rest are black. Both […]
Finally got this one from Evil Hoodoo, and was really surprised that this came in nice fabric sleeve (I like this kind of surprises). This band has been on my playlist since I purchased their debut album from Cardinal Fuzz (another great label, one of my favorites). And about the album, great & awesome, I like (I mean I love!). Limitation is 250 copies on pea green and 250 copies black vinyl. Available from Evil Hoodoo, Norman Records and other good […]
And little psychedelic cosmic rock etc. This split album came today. Two bands performing two songs, over 20 minutes both. With The Cosmic Dead I’m already familiar but this seven times Pigs was totally new for me. Damn I like this release! Nice job from The Old Noise Records releasing this. Only thing that I can whine about is that this was shipped very, very optimistically, in mailer that had no stiffeners nor bubble wrap.. Mine came in good shape […]
This is exceptional day, got picture disc and this one.. live record (two things I usually try to avoid). But when Rocket Recordings announced this one I was ready to purchase one more live recording (maybe one reason is that I live in the middle of the forest and there is no chance to see this band alive.. ) Anyways, I really dig this record and I’m quite happy that I managed to purchase this limited edition colored one. This […]
Uh. This blackened, doomed psychedelic album also came today. It’s quite shivering experience to listen this through.. there is something wicked coming this way. If you like your music filled with screams, roars.. brooding atmosphere and doomed tunes, this album is just for you. This is definitely one of those albums for dark and hopeless moments. Limited to 99 copies on this splatter color and 401 copies on “Swamp Green” vinyl. Grab a copy from Anti-Matter Records. Recommended. Roarr!
After listening Mono for few hours it’s nice to meet a new friend. This album came today and there is something fascinating with this album. Experimental alternative rock with some psychedelic influences I might say. Anyways, this album is going to have some good time on my turntable (or maybe it’s easier to listen this with my headphones, makes it more intense experience). This album is limited to 100 copies on pink marble, 150 copies on transparent sea foam and […]
I have been listening this album a lot (a lot). Cosmic-blackened-space-metal.. or something. Third full length from this band and first one to me, but certainly I’m going to hunt down those previous releases. If there is song titled “Reikä Maisemassa” (Hole in the Landscape), this can’t go wrong. This album is limited to 1200 copies (500 on dark green and 700 on black vinyl) and released between Svart Records and 20 Buck Spin. Available from both sources, Svart Records […]
It has been little better day.. This arrived and I’m quite happy that it came in one piece. Nice album, I like a lot. This is repress of this album by Rocket Recordings. Limited to 200 copies on yellow vinyl and rest seems to be on black vinyl. I managed to purchase this one suddenly from Rocket Recordings even though this should have been sold out that time. Black copies available from Rocket Recordings.
And this one, second album from Shooting Guns “Brotherhood of Ram”. It’s like treasure hunting when you find some new interesting artists, some times you win, some times you lose. This time I won. Lovely stoner-metal-psych album. This is limited to 100 copies on clear (50 of those are hand-numbered with embossed trifold jacket and rest 50 are regular clear) and 300 copies on black vinyl. Available from Easy Rider Records.
Little “occult” rock album that came today. For me this was obvious purchase. Debut album was strong release, so they was no doubt whether I buy this one or not. Strong album from this band, once again. This is limited to 98 copies on this color, 93 copies on white/black swirl (tour edition) and 588 on black vinyl. If you’re up to this one, you can get your hairy little hands on this via King Of Monsters, or Burning World […]
And the final arrival this week, Lantern with their “Rock ‘n’ Roll Rorschach” album. This was released by Sophomore Lounge earlier this year in states. This is UK version, released by great Cardinal Fuzz (I have been purchasing lot of stuff from them lately). Now I’m going to spend my weekend with this one and would like to thank Cardinal and Dave for releasing this one. And once again, support this label, it’s worth that! Oh, I can’t remember limitation […]
Holy Moses, this was total surprise for me. I found this from Bandcamp and I’m glad I did. This band is floating somewhere between psychedelic rock and maybe.. doom? There’s a story behind this recording and if you are interested about it, you know how to find it. Self-released and limited to 200 copies. Sold out from their BandCamp site and could be little hard to find anywhere but you can try to get this from HHV.
And once again I have to admit that I have never-ever before heard a single tune from this band. Now I have. I managed to purchase these from Rise Above Records just before these color variations were gone. I had no expectations towards this band and this turned out to be nice deal. I like this, a little (I should get familiar with their earlier stuff too..). Seems also that this is totally sold out from Rise Above Records, all possible […]
These two records came today, awesome band I just suddenly find when surfing trough Bandcamp. This is kind of shoegazing psychedelic rock and suits me just like that. Just clear your ears and give this band a moment of your time, then head to their Bandcamp page and purchase this bundle for 30€. Recommended, damn I love this band!
This one I got today from post office. Mixture of instrumental and psychedelic, quite happy to have this one now. I can recommend this open-hearted, it’s up to you if you find this as beautiful as I do. Limited to 250 copies on black vinyl and 50 copies on seam foam green vinyl. Both versions available from their Bandcamp page. Get yours.
Woah! This was delivered to our doorsteps earlier today. Excellent psychrock album released by Cardinal Fuzz. Somehow I have been purchasing lots of psychedelic rock lately.. hmm, strange. This is limited to 500 copies, 250 on white and 250 on black vinyl and Cardinal Fuzz seems to have some white copies left so act fast if you find this kind of music interesting. I do.
This one popped up today. Maybe now I can call my self a music-hipster or something. Actually I had no intention to get this record but after listening it for a while.. my head was turned. I really like this psychedelia-pop-rock thing. Limitation is something like 350 copies on white vinyl and about 600 on black vinyl. Seems that white one is gone from everywhere but you can get your hands on black one from Banquet Records or from Norman Records.
Little psychedelia this time. This one arrived from Norman Records today. I listened the whole album via Bandcamp and decided to purchase this from Norman because it came little cheaper to order it via them. Limited to 500 copies and available from Mannequin Records.
Wouh! This one came today and this one is GOOD! Had some issues about rough handling by post delivery but Big Thanks goes to Devouter Records, they replaced damaged one and I really appreciate that. And about the music, amazing pyschedelicspaceprogrock album. You can purchase this one from Devouter Records, and from band’s Bandcamp page. About the limitation, Discogs and their Bandcamp page says it’s 100 copies..
This one I got from the Post office today, nice surprise indeed (and have to say that super fast delivery from Important Records). I’m not that familiar with this collective called Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso UFO but now it’s time to correct that. According to Important Records, this is limited to 200 copies on this color and 800 copies on black vinyl. Both versions available from Important.
And this came today, little garage/psychedelic rock vinyl. I’m not that familiar with garage bands but this actually sounds quite good. I think that this is second press on this same color.. do not know for sure. Available on this color, “space lego green” and black from the source, Castle Face Records.
This one arrived today. Their latest album was pretty damn good and this one ain’t bad at all. This is limited to 1300 copies on vinyl (300 x space splatter, 400 x transparent purple and 600 copies on black vinyl). All versions are available from the source, Svart Records.
And this also came today. “Deluxe double vinyl”, 150 pressed with exclusive hand-grafted silkscreen print and CD version of the album. I pre-ordered this from Season Of Mist and this is sold out but they still have some other versions available. Something about limitation of this record: 150 deluxe copies, 200 copies clear with yellow and green splatter, 500 copies on transparent red and 500 copies on black vinyl. And I think there is plenty of others color versions floating […]
Just picked this up from local Post office. Seems to be their second album and also this sounds awesome. This is limited to 400 copies (200 copies on black and 200 copies on blue vinyl). I bought my copy via Discogs (both versions are sold out from Cosmic Eye Records). Seems that easiest way to get your hands on this 2xLP is Discogs..
These RSD left-overs I ordered yesterday, and I was totally surprised how fast these arrived. Not that big fan of remixes but in this case I made the exception. I have no idea of limitation and I think that these are very easy to find from good record stores. Not bad purchase at all, I think.
This came yesterday and I was very surprised because I did not remember even purchasing this one. Well, after few turns I found out that this is some kind of psychedelic space rock. This is limited to 500 hand-numbered copies and according to Tannen Records first 200 copies are colored but according to Sound Of Cobra first 100 copies are green colored.. I got green one, 338/500..
